Professor Lawrence named Parents Distinguished Research Professor in Humanities

A professor of Film and Media Studies and comparative literature, Amy Lawrence came to Dartmouth in 1988. She is the author of several books (most recently, of The Passion of Montgomery Clift) as well as numerous scholarly articles and book chapters. Among her interests: the phenomenon of Hollywood stardom, feminist issues in film, the use of sound in cinema, and reality television. She also makes animated films.
