The Department of Film & Media Studies presents a professional development workshop focused on how to navigate a career in film with guest speakers Hayley Morris and Ashton Harrewyn.
Hayley Morris is an Emmy-winning animation director specializing in mixed media and stop-motion animation working under her studio, Shape & Shadow. Ashton J. Harrewyn is an award-winning cinematographer working across feature films, episodic television, commercials, and music videos whose career started in the lighting department on major motion pictures.
Discussion will be guided by the Film & Media Studies production staff. Hayley and Ashton will discuss their career trajectories, approaches to working in film, and making artistic choices through a lighting and animation demonstration. Students are encouraged to come with questions and view the work of the guest speakers beforehand.
Open to all students. No registration required and refreshments provided!
