Professor Mack's The Grand Bizarre has North American Premiere at Toronto Film Festival

Professor Jodie Mack's latest feature-length film The Grand Bizarre premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept 8th (with addtional screenings on the 9th and 10th). Five years in the making, THE GRAND BIZARRE is a constellation and unorthodox weave of components and systems of language, music, and textiles in the age of global capital. TGB has already received reviews from publications like MUBIFilmmaker MagazineIndiewire, and Artforum

Also at TIFF, Professor Mack's new short film Hoarders Without Borders premiered. This 6 minute film incorporated the mineral collection of Mary Johnson at the Harvard Mineralogical and Geological Museum.

The Grand Bizarre will continue in Canada at the Vancouver International Film Festival and have the US Premiere(s) October 6 and 7 at the New York Film Festival. Professor Mack will be present for both NYFF screenings: October 6, 6:30 pm, Francesca Beale Theater; October 7, 12:30 pm, Howard Gilman Theater - Lincoln Center. Other upcoming screenings include: Mar del Plata, AFI Fest, Beijing International Short Film Festival, London International Animation Festival, and Zinebi, among others.
