Tess is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Neukom Institute for Computational Science. She uses a mixture of humanistic and computational methods to study large quantities of popular digital "content." Currently, she is working on a book project about major genres of viral media, and the ways in which, since the early 2000s, they have encoded and influenced popular thinking about ethics and morality.
