Film & Media Studies Minors take a minimum of seven courses within the department: one introduction course, one film history course, three studies courses, one production course, and one addtional course of their choosing, whether a production, screenwriting, or studies course.
Students considering a minor in Film & Media Studies should familiarize themselves with the course requirements as well as the department's course offerings and descriptions. To help you with your planning, you may also use our Film & Media Studies Minor Worksheet.
Students intending to pursue a F&MS Minor must meet with the department's Major Advisor to discuss their planned course of study prior to submitting a plan in DartWorks.
For more information on our minor, please contact our department administrator.
