Post-Graduation Project Fund

The J. Blair Watson Fund in Film and Media Studies

This fund was established by Maurice Rapf Class of 1935 and Director of Film Studies Emeritus in memory of J. Blair Watson, an honorary member of the Class of 1921. This endowment is intended to help support the costs of film production proposed by graduating seniors and recent graduates—not to exceed two years—who have taken courses in the department. The proposed film project is to be based on a written script and have a proposed budget.

PROPOSAL

Proposals must include:

  1. Your name and contact information
  2. Date
  3. A 500-word description  of your project
  4. A copy of the written script
  5. One page proposed budget 
  6. One page timeline of what will be done when, including an estimated completion date
  7. A faculty signature—an advisor willing to work with you for up to 2 years
  8. Email the signed proposal to the Film & Media Studies Chair (please cc the Department Administrator)

Applicants may request up to $3000. The award is not given every year.

Deadline

There are no deadlines to submit proposals for this funding. The applications are reviewed by faculty as received.
