At the Arts Awards at Dartmouth Ceremony (held May 31st at The Moore Theater), the Department of Film & Media Studies bestowed awards on the following students: Marquis Austin '16, Andrew Kingsley '16, and Lauren Peterson '16 shared the Maurice H. Rapf '35 Award for outstanding achievement in Film and Media Studies; Elizabeth (Lizzy) Rogers '16 was awarded the James Joseph Kaplan Filmmaker of the Year Award; and the winners of the Alexander Laing Memorial Writing Award for the Best Original Screenplay by a Dartmouth Undergraduate were: Drew Zwetchkenbaum '16 (Multiplex, Best Feature Script); Alexander Hurt II '16 (Once You Ask For Death, Best Pilot Script); and Marquis Austin '16 & Deigo Moreno '16 tied for Best Short Script (Katie's Birthday & My-A-Knee, respectively).
