Alexander Stockton '15's new short film shares an intimate portrait of Covid caregivers

Alexander Stockton '15's new short film for the New York Times helps us experience first-hand what caring for the most serious Covid patients looks like, one year into the pandemic.

Two I.C.U. nurses in Phoenix agreed to wear cameras, allowing us to venture with them into the Intensive Care Unit as they care for their patients. With additional photography by Luisa Conlon, "Death, Through a Nurse's Eyes" by Alex and Lucy King (Senior Video Journalist, The New York Times) was published Febuary 24th, 2021.

Alex was able to speak with I.C.U. nurse Sara Reynolds and family of Ana Aragon, both featured in the short film. In Alexander's twitter thread he reported that "The sweetest moment of the call was when Ana's granddaughter told Sara that she hopes to go into healthcare and follow in Sara's footsteps. 'I really look up to you as a person and as a nurse. I want to help people like you do.'"
