F&MS Assoc. Prof. Mark Williams at the RPTF Conference 2023


 

Film and Media Studies Assoc. Prof. Mark Williams was a featured speaker at the Library of Congress conference on radio and television history—the largest conference of its kind in U.S. history. RPTF Conference 2023: A Century of Broadcasting: Preservation and Renewal. April 27—30, 2023. His panel is titled Reflections on Broadcasting History examines past, present, and future trends in US radio and television history. Sessions discuss vital trends in broadcasting history, explore continuing unanswered questions in the field, interrogate considerations of space (local, national, global) in the past and the future of the field, and highlight scholarship moving the field in generative new directions.
 

Prof. Williams has also been invited to two talks about The Media Ecology Project, one at Ajou University on May 2, 2023, and another at Hallym University in South Korea.
