Professor Mary Flanagan and her Tiltfactor Lab's game buffalo were featured in a story exploring if "a game help reduce a person's racial and ethnic biases". In the interview, Professor Flanagan explains that the game works "on a conscious level of reminding us that we don't really know a lot of things we might want to know about the world around us. But it also unconsciously starts to open up stereotypical patterns in the way we think."
