To celebrate the White River Indie Film Festival alongside the anniversary year of The Center for Cartoon Studies, students in Jodie Mack’s “Curating and Microcinema” class will present a seventy-minute program of short animation films showcasing the representation of female comic characters. Featuring contemporary and historical works, this program celebrates the shared trajectories of comics and animation, as well as the various female tropes promoted throughout the years. The program features works by Lilli Carre, Lori Damiano, Jo Dery, the Fleischer Brothers, Amy Lockhart, Lale Westvind, and more!!!
